Huddersfield Road Surgery

The Huddersfield Road Surgery is based in Barnsley town centre with an outlaying surgery on Doncaster Road and a branch surgery at Barugh Green which dispenses drugs to patients in the Cawthorne, Silkstone Common and Hoylandswaine areas. The practice looks after approximately 12,500 patients with a clinical workforce of 9 GPs, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 Health Care Assistants and an administration team of 16. We are a training practice for GP Registrars, F2 Doctors, Medical Students and Student Nurses and have a visiting team of community workers e.g. Mental Health Workers, Substance Misuse Nurse, Diabetic Dietitian etc. We provide a vast compilation of clinics which include all Chronic Diseases, Minor Surgery, Baby Clinic and Cervical Cytology.
